The interview is primarily for orientation purposes. Applicants will get an impression of what to expect in their studies in general and specifically in chemistry. The interview serves as a support in deciding whether a study of chemistry at KIT corresponds to one's own inclinations and abilities. Furthermore, the personal interview offers applicants the opportunity to obtain additional information and to ask questions specific to the course of study and general questions. Prospective students should be prepared for the interviews to be offered in late July and early August.

Preparation for the study
The study programs of the KIT Faculty of Chemistry and Biosciences contain considerable amounts of mathematics, which many students find difficult. If you want to improve your chances of success in your studies, online bridge courses are available to check, consolidate, and expand your mathematical knowledge.
The MINT-Kolleg at KIT also offers a test and presence pre-courses, which can be found at Online Mathematik Brückenkurs OMB+.
The offer of the MINT-Kolleg from the field of chemistry can be found here.
The application takes place centrally at the Student Services.
